MANAGING TINNITUS
The word 'tinnitus' comes from the Latin word “tinnire” meaning to ring or ringing.
We all experience Tinnitus from time to time and it can vary in which ear it is heard and the type and loudness of sound you hear. It can be constant or intermittent or appear now and again. It can start after a loud party or a concert and can also appear for no apparent reason and disappear just as quickly.
HELP WITH TINNITUS
Tinnitus becomes a problem when it is intrusive enough to affect your quality of life.
It can affect your sleep, your concentration, your work and have a negative impact on your social and personal relationships. The most important aspect of Tinnitus is that there are treatments available which are not quick fix, expensive gadgets, contraptions or herbal remedies but reliable, evidence based treatments.
As an Adult & Paediatric Tinnitus Specialist for 25 years, both in the NHS and privately, The Hearing Practice’s Fiona Bateson has extensive knowledge and clinical experience in dealing with Tinnitus patients and has Tinnitus Clinics across Hertfordshire and in Harley Street.
Using evidence based conventional Tinnitus Retraining Therapy and Tinnitus Management Programmes reduces Tinnitus and the impact that this troublesome condition has on patients.
TINNITUS SUPPORT
Fiona also runs the Hitchin & Stevenage Tinnitus Support Group and the Harpenden, Luton & St Albans Tinnitus Support Groups fully sponsored by The British Tinnitus Association.
